Basketball Debut

This is Braden's first year playing basketball and so far he has really enjoyed it. He is still learning how to play, but is doing well for his first time. At the end of the video you see him tearing up and down the court when possession changes. This seems to be his favorite part. At least it gives him a good workout and energy release!

So, you are really amish, right?

I am Mennonite. I am also lots of other things. I have a lot of non-mennonite friends and as soon as they hear about this part of me there is a look that comes across their face and I know that I have lost them for a bit. I know that in that moment they have assumed the worst. Rumspringer must have gone terribly wrong for me, I have become "English" and am shunned from my family. If they keep listening they will hear me say that amish and mennonite are not the same thing, but I know that they are picturing me with my hair pulled back in a bonnet and riding my horse and buggy. It is this moment that I frequently encounter that I am seeking some help from my mennonite friends. Hey, just the fact that you are on your computer and have internet access will amaze many of them!

What is your "short" answer that you give non-mennonites when asked what it means to be Mennonite? I just thought this would be a fun discussion so let's see how many comments we can get on this post!
