State Fair Fun!

I have been taking a break from blogging to enjoy the time with my kids. The days of summer are flying by and we are sad to see them go. We love our pool time and the relaxed pace of summer.

Last week we spent a day at the State Fair. This has become one of our "end of summer" traditions. We begin by riding the fair train to the fairgrounds. This year they even had a man who walked from car to car singing and playing his guitar. He sat down right beside us and played a song or two. Very fun!

Brad and Braden decided to take in a race. Brad did a great job of holding their position and passing as many cars as possible!

You can see in the picture below that Braden was holding onto his hat the whole time. It was very cute! He had a blast! Connor, on the other hand, napped through this entire event. Just proves once again that Connor can sleep anywhere!

Braden and Connor decided that this was a good ride to try together. The ride goes in a circle and then the cars go up and down. The verdict: Braden - loved it, Connor - hated it. He had a look of terror on his face the whole time. Sorry buddy, maybe you will like the rides better when you get older!

Of course a trip to the fair is not complete without food. We enjoyed cheese sandwiches and milkshakes from the dairy bar, pork sandwiches and corn dogs for the kids. All in all a fun day!

Don't count on him liking rides better when he is older! Jason and my stomachs never could take rides - it might be hereditary! Grandma
